Traducción
The earthly deity [in the form of a cow] thus replied to the personality of religious principles [in the form of a bull]: O Dharma, whatever you have inquired from me shall be known to you. I shall try to reply to all those questions. Once you too were maintained by your four legs, and you increased happiness all over the universe by the mercy of the Lord.
La deidad terrestre [en la forma de una vaca] le respondió así a la personalidad de los principios religiosos [en la forma de un toro]: ¡Oh, Dharma!, todo lo que me ha preguntado lo habrá de conocer. Trataré de responder a todas esas preguntas. Una vez, a usted también lo sostenían sus cuatro patas, y por la misericordia del Señor, hacía que aumentara la felicidad por todo el universo.

Significado
The principles of religion are laid down by the Lord Himself, and the executor of such laws is Dharmarāja, or Yamarāja. Such principles work fully in the age of Satya-yuga; in the Tretā-yuga they are reduced by a fraction of one fourth; in the Dvāpara-yuga they are reduced to one half, and in the Kali-yuga they are reduced to one fourth, gradually diminishing to the zero point, and then devastation takes place. Happiness in the world depends proportionately on the maintenance of the religious principles, individually or collectively. The best part of valor is to maintain the principles despite all kinds of odds. Thus one can be happy during the span of life and ultimately return to Godhead.
Los principios de la religión los establece el propio Señor, y el ejecutor de esas leyes es Dharmarāja, o Yamarāja. Esos principios actúan a plenitud en la era de Satya-yuga; en la era de Tretā-yuga se reducen en una fracción de un cuarto, en la de Dvāpara-yuga se reducen a la mitad, y en la era de Kali-yuga se reducen a un cuarto, disminuyendo gradualmente hasta cero, después de lo cual ocurre la devastación. La felicidad del mundo depende proporcionalmente del mantenimiento de los principios religiosos, individual o colectivamente. Lo mejor de todo es mantener los principios pese a toda clase de dificultades. De ese modo se puede ser feliz durante el transcurso de la vida, y al final regresar a Dios.
