kṣipyamāṇaḥ — being thrown in the ocean; tam — unto the King; āha — the fish said; idam — this; iha — in this place; mām — Me; makara-ādayaḥ — dangerous aquatics like sharks; adanti — will eat; ati-balāḥ — because of being too powerful; vīra — O heroic King; mām — Me; na — not; iha — in this water; utsraṣṭum — to throw; arhasi — you deserve.

kṣipyamānaḥ — sendo atirado no oceano; tam — ao rei; āha — o peixe disse; idam — isto; iha — nesse lugar; mām — a Mim; makara­-ādayaḥ — perigosos seres aquáticos, tais como os tubarões; adanti — comerão; ati-balāḥ — por serem muito poderosos; vīra — ó rei heroico; mām — a Mim; na — não; iha — nesta água; utsraṣṭum — atirar; arha­si — mereces.

Translation

Tradução

While being thrown in the ocean, the fish said to King Satyavrata: O hero, in this water there are very powerful and dangerous sharks that will eat Me. Therefore you should not throw Me in this place.

Enquanto era atirado no oceano, o peixe disse ao rei Satyavrata: Nesta água, ó herói, existem poderosíssimos e perigosos tubarões, os quais irão comer-Me. Portanto, não deves atirar-Me nesse lugar.
