Translation

Traducción

When King Purañjana saw that all his family members, relatives, followers, servants, secretaries and everyone else had turned against him, he certainly became very anxious. But he could not counteract the situation because he was thoroughly overwhelmed by Kālakanyā.

Cuando vio que toda su familia, sus parientes, sus seguidores, sus sirvientes, sus secretarios, y todos en general, se habían vuelto contra él, el rey Purañjana sintió una profunda angustia. Sin embargo, no podía hacer nada, pues Kālakanyā le dominaba por completo.

Significado

When a person becomes weak from the attack of old age, the family members, servants and secretaries do not care for him. He is then unable to counteract this. Thus he becomes more and more anxious and laments his frightful condition.

Cuando una persona se debilita por el ataque de la vejez, sus familiares, sirvientes y secretarios no le hacen el más mínimo caso. Él, por su parte, es incapaz de hacer frente a la situación. Su angustia es cada vez mayor, y se lamenta por su horrorosa condición.
