O great actor, my Lord, all these poor creatures are constantly perplexed by hunger, thirst, severe cold, secretion and bile, attacked by coughing winter, blasting summer, rains and many other disturbing elements, and overwhelmed by strong sex urges and indefatigable anger. I take pity on them, and I am very much aggrieved for them.
Ó grande ator, meu Senhor, todas essas pobres criaturas são constantemente torturadas pela fome, pela sede, pelo frio cortante, por secreções, tais como a bile, afligidas por inverno rigoroso, verão insuportável, chuvas e muitos outros elementos perturbadores, e tomadas por fortes desejos sexuais e ira infatigável. Eu me apiedo delas e muito me aflijo por elas.

Comentário
A pure devotee of the Lord like Brahmā and persons in his disciplic succession are always unhappy to see the perplexities of the conditioned souls, who are suffering the onslaughts of the threefold miseries which pertain to the body and mind, to the disturbances of material nature, and to many other such material disadvantages. Not knowing adequate measures for relieving such difficulties, suffering persons sometimes pose themselves as leaders of the people, and the unfortunate followers are put into further disadvantages under such so-called leadership. This is like a blind man’s leading another blind man to fall into a ditch. Therefore, unless the devotees of the Lord take pity on them and teach them the right path, their lives are hopeless failures. The devotees of the Lord who voluntarily take the responsibility of raising the foolish materialistic sense enjoyers are as confidential to the Lord as Lord Brahmā.
Um devoto puro do Senhor, como Brahmā e seus sucessores discipulares, ficam sempre condoídos ao ver as perplexidades das almas condicionadas, que estão sofrendo as investidas dos três tipos de sofrimentos, próprios do corpo e da mente, dos distúrbios da natureza material e de muitas outras desvantagens materiais deste tipo. Não conhecendo medidas adequadas para mitigar essas dificuldades, as pessoas que estão sofrendo às vezes fazem-se passar por líderes do povo, e os desventurados seguidores são forçados a enfrentar mais tribulações ainda sob essa assim chamada liderança. É como um cego que faz com que outro cego caia em uma vala. Portanto, a menos que os devotos se apiedem deles e lhes ensinem o caminho correto, suas vidas são fracassos infindáveis. Os devotos do Senhor que voluntariamente aceitam a responsabilidade de elevar os tolos e materialistas desfrutadores dos sentidos são tão íntimos do Senhor como o senhor Brahmā.
