Thereafter, influenced by the interactions of eternal time, the supreme sum total of matter, called the mahat-tattva, became manifested, and in this mahat-tattva the unalloyed goodness, the Supreme Lord, sowed the seeds of universal manifestation out of His own body.

Depois disso, influenciada pelas interações do tempo eterno, manifestou-se a suprema soma total de matéria chamada de ο mahat-tattva, e, nesse mahat-tattva, a bondade imaculada, ο Senhor Supremo, semeou as sementes da manifestação universal geradas de Seu próprio corpo.

Comentário

In due course of time, the impregnated material energy was manifested first as the total material ingredients. Everything takes its own time to fructify, and therefore the word kāla-coditāt, “influenced by time,” is used herein. The mahat-tattva is the total consciousness because a portion of it is represented in everyone as the intellect. The mahat-tattva is directly connected with the supreme consciousness of the Supreme Being, but still it appears as matter. The mahat-tattva, or shadow of pure consciousness, is the germinating place of all creation. It is pure goodness with the slight addition of the material mode of passion, and therefore activity is generated from this point.

No devido curso do tempo, a energia material fecundada manifestou-se primeiramente como a totalidade dos ingredientes materiais. Tudo leva seu próprio tempo para frutificar, e, em virtude disso, a palavra kāla-coditāt, “influenciada pelo tempo”, é usada aqui. Ο mahat-tattva é a consciência total porque uma porção dele está representada em todos como ο intelecto. Ο mahat-tattva está diretamente ligado à consciência suprema do Ser Supremo, mas, não obstante, ele aparece como matéria. Ο mahat-tattva, ou a sombra da consciência pura, é ο local de germinação de toda a criação. Ele é bondade pura com uma leve adição do modo material da paixão, daí a atividade ser gerada a partir desse ponto.
