Translation

Tradução

The place is called Saptasrota [“divided by seven”] because there the waters of the sacred Ganges were divided into seven branches. This was done for the satisfaction of the seven great ṛṣis.

O lugar se chama Saptasrota [“dividido por sete”] porque ali as águas do sagrado Ganges foram divididas em sete braços. Isso foi feito para a satisfação dos sete grandes ṛṣis.
